12/21/12 by Larry Enright

The premise is a creepy familiar yet, the story is a fascinating unique blend of a believable potential, and the prophecy that spawns it. The five main characters are a sensational group of interesting outcasts. Several times, Dr. Loeb the quasi-leader made me laugh and wrinkle my forehead. In my opinion he carries the story and provides the perfect personality and resume' to make it happen. His interaction with polar opposite, Bowen is entertaining and adds dimensional depth.

A fast-moving, quick read, this story is a clever scenario as the characters mirror the foundations of beliefs that surround the phenomenon. Please read, you will not be disappointed.

THE UNBEARABLE LIGHTNESS OF PRUNES by Margaret Jean Langstaff

A hoot & holler for this southern, redneck blast. All will enjoy the artfully simple southern idiosyncrasies masterfully written in Margaret Jean Langstaff’s, The Unbearable Lightness of Prunes. It was pure pleasure to experience the wonderful mix of characters in this lighthearted tale.

No exclusions, this is a wonderful read for anyone. A perfect story to load on a Kindle, you can’t go wrong. Enjoy the story of Jerrold and his aunt Ginny as they create prune pipe bombs and more. You can read this in less than an hour, and  I guarantee it will change the entire mood of your day.

This is southern humor at its Best. Likely, the most humorous book I've read!

Beyond My Control, One Man's Struggle With Epilepsy, Seizure Surgery & Beyond, By Stuart Ross McCallum

I recently decided to share more in depth thoughts about Stuart Ross McCallum’s BEYOND MY CONTROL. Previously, I wrote about it in the context of my son’s battle with epilepsy, and his personal thoughts. I am happy to say it is the most read review I have posted thus far. However, I can’t help, but feel I need to say more.

Stuart’s battle with epilepsy began in his teens. A time, we can all identify as difficult. Like so many others, it manifested in strange incidents that could easily be confused as other conditions. In his book, Stuart shares this scary confusion in a clear and concise story, the story of his life.

Science, now, informs us that 1 in 23 people will experience a seizure and/or epilepsy in their lifetime. This condition is much more common than once believed. The truth is, unlike my son whom has struggled with it since birth, 70% of the people will be struck later in life. Many will recognize an obvious trigger others are not so obvious.

Like many illnesses, conquering epilepsy is relative. Controlling seizures, even with dynamic medical intervention, is a way of life. Stuart sheds light upon the nature of the disease, treatment, and research. His own situation gives credence to the celebration of the things one can control, and to the people that matter. Stuart’s story reveals a strong and supportive woman, admirable in her own right, his wife Lisa. Together, they form an effective bond.

Stuart is a humble man. This is evident in his story, genuinely told to inform, educate, and comfort individuals and families. He shares with dignity the impact the epilepsy places on his and his family’s life. BEYOND MY CONTROL is a real-life journey, guided by a soldier against epilepsy in his own life, but, also, a warrior for others.

SEMPER AUDACIA by M. Pax

The title is awesome and sets the scene perfectly.  SEMPER AUDACIA  is a fascinating novella! MPax has built a dynamic world within the pages of an equally dynamic Science Fiction story that begs for sequels. I loved Leda a most interesting, alone through much of the story, she is an incredibly well developed character. However, I must return to the detail, MPax had me awe struck by the meticulous story she was able to create in the confines of a short story.

The ghost brigades, and the space outpost are just a couple of elements that escort the reader's mind through a wonderfully imaginative world. This is a great weekend read that will intrigue the most avid Sci-Fiction Fans.

The #1 Thriller; IN MEMORY OF GREED by Al Boudreau

Most of us are not immune to the many tales of megalomaniacs that fill our history books. However, in our modern society we deny they can and do exist. We live our day to day lives under a false pretense of beliefs that suggest our society is far too advanced, and complex for such an individual to succeed.

THE WATCHERS FROM WITHIN MOMENTS, REVEALED, by Mark Paul Jacobs

The Watchers From Within Moments, Revealed by Mark Paul Jacobs is a fascinating, and suspenseful short story!

Mark Paul Jacobs provides readers with a wild, intelligent ride in a short amount of text. He has developed an absolutely plausible set of stunning circumstances. No doubt any reader will be left contemplating the possible reality of such an event.

In this nail biter, FastTech, an American Company, makes an alarming discovery with some state-of-the-art camera equipment. Their discovery sends the entire population into a frenzy that demands government, and political involvement. The shocking end will literally leave you stunned.

I enjoyed this story immensely.
